Parkinson’s Therapy at New Beginning Physical Therapy of Palm Spring, CA

Posted on January 24, 2020 Comments Off on Parkinson’s Therapy at New Beginning Physical Therapy of Palm Spring, CA

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological illness that affects dopamine production in our brain. Parkinson’s disease may cause tremors and difficulty in movement. The patient will have slow movement and may also feel tightness, pain, and weakness especially on the muscle and joints. This disease needs continuous care and most importantly, Physical therapy (PT).

Physical Therapy will not cure Parkinson’s, but it will help compensate for the changes brought about by the condition. The physical therapy will help patients gain new movement techniques, strategies, and equipment.

Physical Therapy will keep your fitness levels, maintain good posture and balance. This will help you remain independent. The therapy can maintain your mobility, even if you feel that your mobility is good. There is evidence that 2.5 hours of exercise per week can slow the progression of Parkinson’s symptoms.

New Beginning Physical Therapy is a company founded in 2015 by Stacy Hennis, who is putting her fifteen years of experience in Physical Therapy by applying the LSVT model which is proven to make tremendous progress in a short period.

Our company provides home service that gives patients quality care in the comfort of their homes. Our program physical therapist will work step by step to improve your movement, gain independence and perform the everyday task as smoothly as possible.

Our licensed physical therapist will make sure to deliver quality care at your own schedule, make sure that you achieve your personal goals and lead a more active life.
